Join us as we guide you toward the next steps in your walk with Christ.

What are your next steps?

We’re so glad you’ve decided to visit Cornerstone!

We’ve already answered some frequently asked questions below, but if you have any other questions or would just like to tell us you’re coming, you can send us a message here, or call us at 705-710-7729.

At Cornerstone Seventh-day Adventist Church, we always enjoy welcoming people into our church family, and being there to support them whenever they need it. By becoming a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church you are committing to a relationship with God, and we want to help prepare you for this commitment.

We believe in baptism by immersion – being immersed in water and coming up to represent the change Christ has made in your life. If you’re considering baptism, contact us and let us know you are interested in learning more. If you’re thinking of becoming a member of Cornerstone Seventh-day Adventist Church or struggling with the decision to commit to a relationship with God please contact us and let us know.

Membership can also be transferred from another Seventh-day Adventist church to Cornerstone Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Whether raised as a Seventh-day Adventist, a member of another faith or in a non-religious environment, the steps to becoming a Seventh-day Adventist are all about the same.

Most people do some research before joining a club or becoming members of a community.

Joining the Seventh-day Adventist Church can be a similar experience. You should find out all

you can about what we believe and what we can offer.

The information on this website can help, or you may wish to talk to our  Pastor or one or our elders.

We can arrange for someone to contact you. Simply contact us. We will respect your privacy.

After you have gathered some basic information about the Seventh-day Adventist Church,

you will have to make your first decision: “Do I want to explore this more?”

Remember, only you can make this decision.

Being born into a Seventh-day Adventist family doesn’t automatically make you an Adventist. Some people have amazing circumstances that lead them to joining the church – others just turn up at the door so they can work it out for themselves. Either way, we believe deciding to follow Jesus is an important decision you must make yourself.

You’re never too old to become a Seventh-day Adventist. But the decision should be your own, and you must make it thoughtfully, with an understanding of how it will affect your life.

This is a simple step, but it sets the framework for how to approach the next step.

Cornerstone Seventh-day Adventist Church is located at 407 McNabb Street in Sault Ste. Marie.

Our church is situated on the corner of Pine Street & McNabb Street.

You can view a map and see our full address here on our contact page.

There's no dress code here—just come as you are and wear what makes you feel comfortable! As long as you're not rocking a tuxedo or designer gown, you'll fit right in! Still not quite sure? We invite you to pray about it.

YES! We have a dedicated Sabbath School for the kids. We also believe in blended family worship time, and it’s important for our kids to be a part of our worship service.

We also invite our youth to join us for our Adventist Youth program which is an initiative of the Seventh-day Adventist Church designed to engage and empower young people spiritually, socially, and physically. It focuses on fostering their spiritual growth, leadership development, and active involvement in the church and community.

All of our children’s leaders have passed a criminal background check and have received the required training to support and protect our youth.

Our services begin with a warm welcome where everyone feels like family. Whether you're new or have been coming for years, we believe in creating a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.

We lift our voices in praise through uplifting hymns and contemporary Christian songs that glorify God and prepare our hearts for worship.

We spend time in prayer and Scripture reading, focusing on God’s Word for guidance, encouragement, and wisdom in our daily lives.

Our sermons are Bible-based and practical, offering messages that inspire, challenge, and encourage us to live a Christ-centered life. Every week, our pastor, an elder, or a special guest dives deep into Scripture to provide spiritual nourishment.

Before the main service, we have Sabbath School, which is like a small group Bible study. It’s an opportunity for all ages to learn and grow together through engaging discussions about the Bible.

Our service is family-focused, with special programs and activities for kids, teens, and adults alike. We strive to create an environment where everyone, no matter their age, feels valued and involved.

We also emphasize living a balanced and healthy lifestyle, reflecting our belief that God cares about our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Worshiping on the Sabbath is a reminder of the rest we find in God. It’s a time to step away from the busy week and experience the peace and renewal that comes from focusing on Him.

We don’t center-out our visitors during the service, nor do we expect you to give any money.

We don’t pass an offering plate but have a designated area to give financially if you ever choose to do so.

Don’t feel like you have to rush out at the end of the service.

We’d like to get to know you!

Seventh-day Adventists value the study of the Bible. It is an important aspect of our faith because we base all our beliefs on what the Bible teaches.

We can help you study the Bible. Our Pastoral Team have a variety of studies at many different levels and can guide you to an area in which you have an interest. To request a Bible study contact us.

Jesus Christ accepts all people despite their circumstances. You are never too unworthy to become a Christian. When you believe in Him and allow His teachings and His love to influence you, you will experience a positive transformation in your life.

Baptism is a symbol of your decision to accept Jesus’ teachings and His gift of eternal life. You are declaring you accept Jesus died on the cross for your sins. Once baptized, you will become a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Should you feel impressed to accept Jesus as your Saviour and join the Adventist Church, it is time to take the most important step – making the final decision.

The concept of baptism is not new. Jesus was baptized to show He was making the choice to serve God, His Father. Baptism involves the physical immersion of your body under water. It is a symbol of a new life.

Read the Seventh-day Adventist beliefs about baptism.

Accepting Jesus as your Saviour does not mean you have immunity from pain and suffering. It does mean you will always have a Friend to help you endure pain and suffering.

“For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16, KJV).

The next step is to enjoy your life with Jesus.

If you’re thinking of getting baptized please contact us and let us know.
